Our mission is to be an advocate for the Red River NWR by promoting and participating in the conservation, enhancement, and appreciation of our native wildlife communities through education, fund raising, development of partnerships, and development of onsite projects for volunteers.

We are a nongovernmental, nonprofit organization operating under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and a Memorandum of Agreement with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. We are an affiliate member of the National Wildlife Refuge Association .
